Repair questions, answered

The things customers ask us most. Anything else, just ring 01873850405 or pop in.

How long does a repair take?

Most screen, battery and charging-port repairs are done the same day, and many while you wait if we have the part in stock. Trickier jobs — water damage, laptops and consoles — usually take 1 to 3 days because they need testing and drying time. We always tell you the timescale before we start.

Do repairs come with a warranty?

Yes. Parts we fit — screens, batteries, charging ports — carry a 3 month warranty against faults with the part or our work. Accidental damage, new cracks and water damage after the repair are not covered, and water-damaged devices are repaired on a best-effort basis with no warranty.

Is my data safe? Will I lose my photos?

We do not need your photos, messages or accounts to fix a screen or battery, and we never look through your device. Please back up before you bring it in where you can — repairs very rarely affect data, but no repair can be guaranteed data-safe. If the device will not turn on, ask us about data transfer and we will do our best to save it first.

My phone has been in water — what should I do?

Turn it off, do not charge it and do not use rice or a hairdryer. Bring it to us as quickly as you can — the sooner it is cleaned, the better the chance of saving it. We open it up, clean the board and test what still works, then tell you honestly whether it is worth repairing.

What should I bring to the shop?

The device, its charger or cable if the fault is charging-related, and your passcode or screen lock so we can test the repair properly. If the device is under an account lock (iCloud or Google), bring those details too. Proof of purchase is not needed.

Do I need an appointment?

No — you are welcome to walk in during opening hours. Booking online just means we can check the part is in stock and have it ready for you.
